Mario meltdown

Today the housemates probably had one of the most prodctive days ever. They got up to realise that without a boiler there was no HOT water, and so cold showers all around. The highlight of the day, was one of epic proportions, it all started when robert picked up the wiimote to collect a star or two in 'Mario Galaxy' (possibly one of greatest games of all time). He started at 16:40, and before long Bavan was trying tollect some of his own stars, with no avail. Rob thought he could do it so he tried to complete this one level (toy galaxy purple comet if you are interested), the tournament had started and Gustav soon joined in. The aim of the Game collect 100/150 coins within 3mins, seems simple enough right. This mission the three housemates took on took them 2-3 hours. By the end of it Mario had died 100s of times and they had strategised and planned tactics better than the 2003 Iraq invasion. They found themselves immersed, and mirroring Mario cries of joy and despair. Minutes flew by, then the hours flew by, slowly progress was made the strategies were comig into play. They even had an exit stregy planned (Unlike Iraq), near the Bavan lost control of his hands and due to uncontrollable spasms had to retire to collect starbits. Gustav and Rob were making great progress, Rob even managed to collect the 100 coins twice, but without the carefully planned exit strategy his attempts at victory were thwarted. Finally Gustav was on fire, he was always the more careful housemate and tried to collect more than necessary, but his practise paid off, he collect all the coins like a ballerina hopping around in front of crowds of million, and to cheers of joy he finally claimed his prize at 17:30.

Kapil the strolled in with Lamb curry which he had to delay because of the mission, and the housemates sat down most satisfying and deserving meal of their lives. Of course, Kapil, who was not one of the cool kids, had no idea was all the fuss about, and repeated as he always does that he loves wii tennis.

Gustav then went off to conquer the greek language, and Kapil, Rob and Bavan watched 'Lady Vengeance'
